Festival Players for Kids Presents Charlotte’s Web at Festival Place…the place for Family Shows

February 15th, 2017

A Family Day Weekend tradition, Festival Players for Kids is pleased to announce their production of Charlotte’s Web, February 17 – 20, 2017.

This exciting, new musical version of Charlotte's Web brings a new dimension to E.B. White's beloved classic. With music and lyrics by Charles Strouse (Annie, 'Bye, 'Bye Birdie) and book by Joseph Robinette (national award-winning children's playwright) the thrilling musical score includes "Who Says We Can't Be Friends", an enchanting duet between Wilbur and his new-found companion Charlotte; "Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn", featuring all the story's unforgettable animals in a hand-clapping, toe-tapping hoe-down; and "Summer", a haunting, nostalgic chorus number which evokes a time and place from everyone's childhood.

For 10 years, Festival Players for Kids has been bringing fun and creative theatre to audiences in the capital region. Performed by a talented cast of local children, and guided by a skilled group of industry professionals, Charlotte's Web is sure to be great for kids and kids at heart!

After 22 years of music, theatre, comedy and special events, Festival Place continues to be Alberta’s #1 Presenter of Professional Artists. The 2015-2016 Season showcased an eclectic mix of over 85 incredibly talented performers. The upcoming 2016-2017 season carries on the same ambitious standard of entertainment, with over 50 performances already scheduled between September 2016 and April 2017, and new shows to be added throughout the year.
