The Hub Hosts its 7th Annual June Bug Children’s Festival

The Hub Family Resource Centre is hosting its Annual June Bug Children’s Festival June 24th-26th , 2016 at Shell Place. The Milk & Cookies Children’s Gala will kick off the festival from 4:00pm-7:00pm on June 24th at the Shell Place Ball Room. The Milk & Cookies Gala will have fun activities for the whole family which include: royal milk and cookies service, dancing, games, and even a pint sized silent auction – parents are invited to dress their kids in their finest and walk the red carpet. Tickets are limited and can be purchased online at www.macdonaldisland.ca/meetings-events/tickets or at MacDonald Island Park box-office, located in Shell Place.

June 25th & 26th will see the return of our reputable 2-day family fun festival. This year’s festival will be held on the indoor Shell Place turf AND outside on beautiful MacDonald Island. FUN activities include; stage performers, bouncy castles, face painting, balloon artists, carnival games, vendors and MUCH more!!

The June Bug Children’s Festival is The Hub’s largest Fundraiser of the year, it continues to grow and change each year. All monies raised during the June Bug Children’s Festival are invested directly back into keeping the Hub accessible to all families in Wood Buffalo.

About The Hub Family Resource Centre

The Hub Family Resource Centre is a non-profit charitable organization, offering free programming and resources to families in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB). A majority of services offered at The Hub are targeted towards children newborn to six years old and their families. Since The Hub opened their doors in 2003 the mission has been to strengthen capacities and encourage the best possible development of families in the RWMB. As an associated facility with the Parent Link Centre of Alberta, The Hub offers skills and tools for parents to ensure the best possible development of their young child, such as Triple P: Positive Parenting Programs, Ages and Stages Development Check-Ups and Car Seat Inspections.
