THE SCHOOL OF ALBERTA BALLET – EDMONTON STUDIOS TO HOLD FIRST EVER OPEN HOUSE

May 9th, 2016

The School of Alberta Ballet is thrilled to announce it’s moving to a new, bigger and brighter location, opening September 2016. To celebrate this exciting move, the School is hosting its first ever open house for the public on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all ages. The open house will take place at the School of Alberta Ballet’s new location, 11205 107 Ave NW. This is a free event, and no RSVP is required.

The School of Alberta Ballet offers superior dance training – with classes for everyone from preschool to adult beginners, right up to dancers aspiring to pursue a professional dance career. The open house will offer a behind the scenes look at what it’s like to train at the School of Alberta Ballet, including ballet class demonstration, tours of the new facility, and an opportunity to meet the staff.

Also in attendance at the School’s Open House will be Artistic Director Edmund Stripe, who is the choreographer of Alberta Ballet’s acclaimed holiday classic The Nutcracker. “We are very excited to be moving to our new, spacious facility. The move is a reflection of the enormous growth of the School of Alberta Ballet – Edmonton Studios over the last two years,” says Stripe.

“The new premises will provide more dance space for our existing classes and the opportunity for more dancers to enjoy them. The new studios also present the opportunity to generate additional dance classes and will comfortably cover further expansion of the School.”
