Being a new mom is hard – you’re up at all hours of the night, changing diapers and feeding, and you still have to worry about vacuuming the living room and doing the dishes. You feel like you have no social life and you need some quality me-time.
We can help.
The Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre at Keyano College offers three fitness classes that are just for moms, giving you the opportunity to socialize with women who are going through the same things as you while getting back into shape.

Prenatal Yoga is designed for beginners and offers you the chance to take time for yourself in a supportive environment while you prepare for the birth of your baby. Our qualified instructor will teach you the basics of yoga, helping you to improve your flexibility and strength.

After baby is born, you can keep up with the yoga by participating in Me & Mom Yoga. Designed for moms and babies 4 weeks – 6 months of age, the instructor will teach you gentle exercises to practice with your baby combined with stretching and strengthening exercises for yourself.

The third program we offer just for moms is Stroller Sculpt – specifically designed for the needs of moms with stroller age children. This program will help you shed the baby weight and prepare your body for keeping up with a toddler.

If you’re still worried about how you’ll handle being a new mom, we also offer Prenatal Education Classes. Each class is designed to help you prepare for the birth of your child, with topics including labour and delivery, pain relief, stages of labour, expectations about parenthood, breastfeeding, and more. Prenatal Education is a great place to ask questions, share stories, and create a network of friends for play dates.
For more information on any of these classes or to register, visit us at or call 780-791-7792.
