November 27-30: The Shaw Conference Centre hosts the Festival of Trees 2008. Experience the magical sights and sounds. Hundreds of trees and festive decorations delight visitors of all ages. Surrounding the special displays are children’s activities, live entertainment, shops with holiday treats and special gifts. Proceeds from the 2008 Festival of Trees will be used to purchase equipment that helps save lives and reduces the lifelong impact of serious injuries. November 27-December 7: The Arden Theatre presents Seussical. The beloved characters of Dr. Seuss are brought to life in this fantastical musical adventure for all ages. These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo, a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks”! Hilarity ensues as the much-loved characters of Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville combine to bring you this toe-tapping story the whole family will enjoy! November 21-January 4: Hawrelak Park hosts the Bright Nights Winter Family Festival. With over 1.5 million visitors since its inception, Bright Nights still grows every year.
