December 7:  10:00-Noon The Downtown Business Association's presents the 21st Annual Indoor Santa Claus Parade. The parade will be taking Edmonton's pedway system by storm with over one kilometer of holiday fun for people of all ages that will include floats, music, mascots, and much more.

 

December 7 & 14: 12:00–4:00 pm Rutherford House presents A Christmas Past. Join us for a traditional Rutherford House Christmas. Experience the unique sparkle of this elegant house where the halls are decked for the holidays. December 7: 12:30-4:00 pm The City of Leduc presents Santa’s Gone Loonie. Here’s a great opportunity for families to get a head start on their holiday shopping. For the kids we have craft vendors with items that are a twoonie or less, a free gift wrapping station, children’s entertainment and Santa’s Fluff N’ Stuff Workshop! December 7:  Fort Edmonton Park presents Christmas Reflections. View Charming Christmas displays and twinkling lights from your horse-drawn ride through the park, then savor a warming cup of cider or hot chocolate. Costumed interpreters in several historic buildings along 1905 and 1920 Streets invite you to sing carols to live music, and sample baking from the wood stove. Visitors of all ages enjoy adding to our wishing tree and receiving a chocolate coin from Father Christmas. You'll find this a beloved holiday tradition. December 7: Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium presents Stuart Mclean & The Vinyl Cafe Christmas 2008 Tour. Stuart McLean is one of Canada's most beloved storytellers and a best-selling author. December 2–7: Alberta Opera Musical Theatre for Young People presents Little Red Riding Hood. This is Alberta Opera’s newest production which tackles the difficult issues of “bullying and fitting in”. Within the walls of a small woodlands elementary school, two students just can’t seem to get along. The trouble between the exemplary Little Red Riding Hood and the delinquent Wolfgang worsens when they leave the school ground and Little Red finds herself confronted by the bully along the path home. December 1-23:  The Alberta Legislature presents Celebrate the Season. Come and enjoy the festively lit Legislature grounds, listen to choir performances that will take place most noon hours and evenings in the Legislature Building and enjoy free hot chocolate served in the evenings. November 27-December 7: The Arden Theatre presents Seussical. The beloved characters of Dr. Seuss are brought to life in this fantastical musical adventure for all ages.
