Meet the Team

Publisher: Wendy Mueller

Publisher, Wendy Mueller

As the owner of Gryphon Publishing, Wendy brings with her years of experience managing people - something she says is much like parenting. Her passion to be a great mom is what brought her to ECM. The opportunity to be home with her kids while developing herself in a new industry with a new skill-set, coupled with her love of literature and being creative is what drives her. She is passionate about what she publishes: content that helps families find new products, services, supportive content, events, and fun! Wendy loves lending her hand in the design and visual aspects of creating the magazine. Her odd affinity to order makes invoicing and accounting fun, but interacting and connecting with people is where her real joy lies.

Editor-In-Chief: Kerri Leland

Editor-in-Chief, Kerri Leland

Thriving on deadlines and a pinch of adrenaline, Kerri found her love of journalism while voicing news pieces at a local radio station during college. Her excitement for current events found her working in television news production immediately after graduation, where she was frequently seen frantically running through the halls of the studio to meet the live-air deadlines. Making babies took Kerri away from the hectic pace of daily news broadcasts, but her love of journalism and a good story never quelled. When offered the opportunity to edit Edmonton's Child Magazine, she pounced and has never looked back. The community of readers, contributors, advertisers and professional peers is what keeps Kerri revved up from issue to issue of ECM. Balancing her  life as a wife and mom to her daughter and son, while being challenged professionally, is what drives her to passionately deliver the content on each and every page.
